Sinking Suns is a post-punk/noise-rock trio from Madison Wisconsin made up of bassist/vocalist Dennis Ponozzo, guitarist Scott Udee and drummer Gabe Johnson.First formed as a two-piece experimental recording project in 2007 between Ponozzo and Udee, the band turned into a full fledged band in 2009 with the addition of Johnson on drums. Their debut live performance was in June of 2010 at the PRF BBQ Rockfest in Chicago.The group fuses grim lyrical tales atop their own brand of post-punk heavy noise-rock with a dose of goth/death rock and hints of garage, psych, surf and punk thrown in to create a dark timeless sound all their own.Since their inception, the band's sound has continued to evolve and mature with each passing year. Sinking Suns have released two full length recordings on Reptilian Records, several self released albums/EPs/singles and have been featured on several compilation and tribute albums.
